Stride is a mobile app designed to help users step out of their comfort zones by providing random challenges in a fun and engaging way. The app gamifies personal growth, encouraging users to take on tasks that are challenging yet rewarding, fostering a sense of achievement and community connection.

I conducted thorough user research, competitor analysis, and iterative design processes to ensure a seamless user experience. Key features include a spin wheel for challenges, progress tracking through streaks, and a community-sharing feature. To make the app engaging, I incorporated a badge reward system to celebrate users' accomplishments.

For usability validation, I conducted user testing using Maze. Three key tasks were tested, achieving success rates of 66.7% (Open Streaks screen), 75% (Change Category), and 85.7% (Spin, Complete, and Share Task), with an overall success rate of 75.8%. Heatmaps and user feedback guided further refinements, enhancing navigation and usability.

Banking should be simple, intuitive, and, most importantly, user-friendly. When I first interacted with the City Union Bank (CUB) mobile app, I saw potential, but it was hidden under layers of a dated interface and usability issues. As a passionate UI/UX designer, I took on the challenge of redesigning the CUB app, aiming to elevate the user experience and create a more seamless, engaging, and functional interface.

The existing CUB app's login screen was a challenge for users on multiple fronts:

😕 Visual Clutter: The interface was a busy mix of colors, shapes, and icons, making it hard for users to focus on their primary tasks.

🧐 Navigation Woes: Users couldn’t easily switch between Mobile Banking and Net Banking. It felt like a maze with no clear way out.

😒 Inconsistent Visual Hierarchy: Important actions were buried, with no clear guide to what users should do next.

😓 Crowded Quick Actions: The Quick Actions section was a jumbled mess, with little thought given to what users actually needed.

I stripped down the visual clutter to its bare essentials, focusing on a clean and modern aesthetic. The vibrant pink header and simplified typography provide a fresh, inviting entry point into the app.

I introduced clear tabs for "Mobile Banking" and "Net Banking," making it easier for users to navigate between these core services. Now, users can switch modes with a single tap, without any confusion.

The redesigned screen prioritizes key actions like login and MPIN management, guiding users with bold buttons and straightforward labels. No more hunting around—what you need is right in front of you.

The Quick Actions section was reimagined to focus on the most important features: UPI, Scan QR, and Ask Lakshmi (AI support robot). These are the tools users need most, and now they’re front and center, with logical groupings that just make sense.

Started with a quick sketch on paper to map out the essentials, then brought it to life digitally. It's amazing to see the idea evolve from rough lines to a polished wireframe!

This redesign is more than just a visual refresh—it’s a rethinking of the entire user experience. By focusing on clarity, simplicity, and user-centric design, I transformed the login screen of the CUB app from a confusing maze into a streamlined, intuitive tool that users will actually enjoy using.

I conducted user testing with 4 participants and gathered insightful feedback that shaped the redesign of the CUB mBank Plus app’s login screen.

This project was a chance to apply my skills in a real-world context, solving practical problems and making a meaningful impact on the user experience. The end result is not just a better app, but a demonstration of how thoughtful design can turn something old and outdated into something fresh and engaging.
